Free Trade EU-Ukraine Contract closer and closer
A contract of the free trade zone with the European Union is a part of a planned association contract Ukraine-EU, which is suggested to be signed by Kiev, when some EU works will be managed by Poland. Taking into consideration the fact that 95% of turnovers will be included in free trade zone and make friendly conditions to investments, Ukraine will have permanent trade connections with the EU.

This is a great chance for Eastern Polish regions which are the part of the LCOI Project. The Project includes a motto in its name 'Eastern European Gateway' (The Gate to Eastern Europe), which nowadays has a greater importance and predicts the development of these areas. It is expected that some entrepreneurs from the EU, who are interested in trade exchange with Ukraine, will be looking for areas and objects in the EU areas, whose location will be as close as possible to the border with Ukraine, so in Eastern Poland area. Some logistics centres and production plants which will use from border neighbourhood, will be build. This fact will decrease some costs of goods transport. It is also expected that many Poles from these regions will find the job there, among others because they know language, market and Ukainians' mentality. Regional LCOI offices function in all Eastern Poland Voivodeships. Their task is to promote these areas, creating database about investments' offers, making an inventory of economic resources, qualities for business, organizing investors and exporters' service. Whether and how will it be used- will be depended on the cooperation between local governments from LCOI Region. Whether information about an investment is delivered to regional LCOI offices, whether they take part in an active way in making an inventory or create some plans of spatial development and provide business with suitable climate.
