EU Free Trade- Will be Canada this year?

The newest Resolution of the European Parliament dated 8 June 2011 in case of Canada- EU trade relations, obligates the Committee and the EU Council to make works on the final agreement faster, whose effect would be signing a contract of free trade till the end of 2011, so also in time of a Polish Presedent.

This extensive economic-trade contract will make the access to the Canadian market easier for European eksporters and have an influence on increasing mutual investments.
It must be reminded that Canada is one of the longest-serving and closest EU Partners. It was the first country with whom the EU signed in 1976 (!) a general contract of trade and economic cooperation. At present, this is the fastest, taking into accout development, country in this part, which has not been affected by the global crisis.
Pursuant to both economies' complement, we have to pay attention to a future potential of increasing economic and investments exchange between the EU and Canada and also huge trade possibilities which are the result of a general economic and trade contract. It is a great chance for Eastern Poland.
The LCOI Representation was opened in Autumn 2011 in Canada (Toronto). The partner and operator of
Polish Canadian Investor Service Centre is the local chamber of commerce Canada- Poland Chamber of Commerce. The LCOI delegation and its Canadian partners (PCISC Representatives) came to Canada and met in CA Parliament, in Ottawa- P. Van Loan, The Minister of International Trade who was enthusiastic for negotiations with the EU and suggested signing a contract in time of 'a Polish President'. The Canadian side also takes actions in order to sign a contract this year. After early elections (Spring, 2011), the Conservative Party achieved absolute majority (which is extremely rare in democratic countries), and there is no problem with opposite eurosceptics, but the supporter of the contract- the Minister  Peter Van Loan was appointed the Marshal of CA Parliament.
The LCOI contacts in Canada and  PCISC Office in Toronto will be an important Eastern Poland asset in promoting this Region and supporting in enlisting investors from Canada.
