provincialism- there are a huge allowance and assets which can be a
subject of envy among other European Union’s regions”.
The organizer of the Forum was the Chamber of Commerce “Grono
Targowe”, Business Centre Club and Kielce Trade Fairs. The participants
were: local authorities, special economic zones, investor service
centres, chambers of commerce, associations, clusters, technological
parks, some incubators of enterprises and entrepreneurs from the area of
Eastern Poland.
Local Investor Service Centres, which presented its own Project, was
also the participant of this Forum.
Prof. Grzegorz Kołodko gave a lecture during the Forum: “Determinants
and perspectives of Polish economy development”. When the lecture
finished, a heated debate started.

“Backwardness can be a plus and asset of Eastern Poland. It is a kind of
allowance, which should be managed wisely. I expect that after some
time, birds’ singing or green grass will be added to a profit, counted
in money. Unfortunately, in some highly-developed countries, we can
notice lack of it”, prof. Kołodko, the former vice- prime minister, the
minister of RP finance suggested.
Then, several multimedia presentations took place, prepared among
others: Special Economic Zone from Starachowice, The Agency of Region
Development from Rzeszów, A Research Institute of Market Economy, Polish
Portuguese and
Polish American Chamber of Commerce and Local Investor
Service Centres.
“ It is a very interesting and innovative Project. Please, inform me
about its progress. I will support it and wish You good luck”- prof.
Kołodko said and visited information stands at the end.
