Investment Forum – Kielce Trade Fairs

Prof. Grzegorz Kołodko: “Investment backwardness and Eastern Poland’s provincialism- there are a huge allowance and assets which can be a subject of envy among other European Union’s regions”.

 The organizer of the Forum was the Chamber of Commerce “Grono Targowe”, Business Centre Club and Kielce Trade Fairs. The participants were: local authorities, special economic zones, investor service centres, chambers of commerce, associations, clusters, technological parks, some incubators of enterprises and entrepreneurs from the area of Eastern Poland.
Local Investor Service Centres, which presented its own Project, was also the participant of this Forum.

Prof. Grzegorz Kołodko gave a lecture during the Forum: “Determinants and perspectives of Polish economy development”. When the lecture finished, a heated debate started.

“Backwardness can be a plus and asset of Eastern Poland. It is a kind of allowance, which should be managed wisely. I expect that after some time, birds’ singing or green grass will be added to a profit, counted in money. Unfortunately, in some highly-developed countries, we can notice lack of it”, prof. Kołodko, the former vice- prime minister, the minister of RP finance suggested.

Then, several multimedia presentations took place, prepared among others: Special Economic Zone from Starachowice, The Agency of Region Development from Rzeszów, A Research Institute of Market Economy, Polish Portuguese and Polish American Chamber of Commerce and Local Investor Service Centres.

“ It is a very interesting and innovative Project. Please, inform me about its progress. I will support it and wish You good luck”- prof. Kołodko said and visited information stands at the end.
